Wychall Primary School ensures all pupils, parents and staff understand E-safety and are able to keep themselves safe. We use a range of information from CEOP, Childnet and internal ICT knowledge to advise and support all stakeholders. There is an emphasis on Mobile technology and social websites as these are two areas of ICT that are growing and becoming an everyday part of life for so many people.
Pupils are given lessons on E-safety, including videos to watch adn discuss, story books, group discussioms and tasks to perform ensuring they are prepared to use ICT safely in school and at home. The content of each lesson and the videos shown are tailored to the age of our pupils.
We invite all parents to our annual E-safety training, the sessions are run during school time and early evening to ensure maximum engagement by parents and an E-safety booklet is issued to all parents. which can be downloaded by clicking on the link above
Staff have a CPD session keeping them up to date on appropriate issues surrounding E-Safety. Resources are produced to enable teachers to deliver E-Safety lessons to pupils and we ensure an appropriate amount of time is given to pupils for discussion amd pupils know who to report any issues or concerns to.
