<-Meet the Staff
Here at Wychall Primary School, we hold a strong belief that education in the early years of a child’s life is crucial in setting the fundamentals for a successful and happy school career.
Wychall Primary School currently offers 60 Reception places, with the Nursery offering 26 places in the morning and 26 afternoon places, some of which are full time.
The Early Years Foundation Stage, at Wychall, supports a child’s development in the early stages of their education, enabling all children to enjoy a highly purposeful and extremely positive experience. Our core objective is to develop self-confident, inspired and independent learners through a balance of adult directed activities alongside a play based, child lead approach.
The Early Years team at Wychall have a passion and love for developmental play. We take the time to carefully plan exciting and engaging opportunities following observations carried out by highly trained staff. From this process, each individual child is provided a bespoke learning experience catered to their needs and interests.
The Early Years Team at Wychall have a vast array of skills in delivering an assortment of learning activities through: close involvement with the children; use of deeper questioning and by ensuring learning opportunities are always fun yet focused.
Young children have an acute awareness of their surroundings and can be affected positively when they are stimulated. At Wychall we are extremely focused on providing a dynamic and challenging learning environment which caters for the needs of all children. Both Nursery and Reception classes are well resourced and set up to encourage interaction which in turns ensures they are wholly engaged in their learning.
